This writing project came to mind as a way to give back to the running community. A runner sends in a short description and I write a fresh piece for it. You can now send in your description of a race, run or workout for your own Pic and Prose custom writing. $26.20 per writing. View examples below.
Place your order through our on-line ordering page and I will begin working on your custom running writing piece. Cost is $26.20 per writing. Post the information about your race, run or workout in the comments section and if I have any questions I will contact your for additional details. My current turnaround for new orders is approximately three days.
Each Pic and Prose piece will be a new writing, between 50 and 120 words in length. Copyright will be the property of the writer, Brian James Siddons. The subject will be able to use the writing for their person use only. Each writing will be sent via email in a Word document. The printed and signed copy will be mailed the day after the email version has been sent.
The original set of Pic & Prose pieces were written using just a few words or sentences from the runner. Feel free to be as descriptive as you would like about your event, or in the case of a friend, their information. The more you tell me, the more I can personalize the writing. If I have any questions I will contact you for clarification.
If you would like your writing to appear next to a photo, like the ones on this page, send in a photo to my email address with a note about who it is for, as your order will come through our web site as a separate item. Photos must be your own, or ones you have purchased. I will not use photos with a watermark that have been downloaded from race photo sites. You will get an image of the writing, similar to the ones on this page, in addition to the Word document and signed copy of the writing only. Email to BrianJSiddons@gmail.com
Each Pic & Prose piece will remain the copyright of the author, Brian James Siddons. The subject may use the writing to reprint the piece for their personal use, on a piece of paper to be put into a frame or race display, for example. The writing may also be shared on social media platforms, however credit and copyright to the author, Brian James Siddons, must be listed with the writing. No distribution or reprint for distribution is allowed, unless permission is sought and granted by the author, Brian James Siddons.

Happy to finish the 2014 after being stopped near Beacon & Borland Street in 2013.

I raced this girl for 13.1 miles. We are on the same race team, Dirigo RC, and the guy in the background is my running friend who usually beats me by about 10mins. On this day I had the race of my life. This is just approaching the finish line. I have not bested either runner again.....yet.

Brian, thank you for the beautiful post. I am deeply humbled. I've said it before and say it again--this sport gives back way more than it takes. Thank you for being such a good friend and sharing your inspirational and insightful messages--they are priceless.

Thank you soooooooooooo much for this! This literally cannot be typed, without bringing tears to my eyes! No kinder, yet insightful, words have ever been mentioned about…my running! Your writings have given me the gift of focus and clarity, whereas before, I was just “blindly slogging through”.
Brian, please always keep in mind that your writings are impactful and valuable to others.
